About NuBella Med Spa

NuBella Med Spa was founded in 2018 by Nurse Practitioner Brandy Casey with the objective of providing the highest quality of patient care in the industry while creating a well-balanced aesthetic look. We started in a small salon suite in Costa Mesa, CA with a staff of two and have now grown into a top national med spa with multiple locations across multiple states. In fact, we were quickly awarded the top Allergan sales per square foot from just this small beginning space. Nurse Practitioner Brandy and Nurse Practitioner Kayla now travel to all of our locations to share the NuBella experience - a variety of carefully selected treatments, the most experienced and highly trained staff, and always bringing an artistic eye to your aesthetic goals.

NuBella’s mission is to build a Platform for Women’s Empowerment- enabling women with advanced degrees in Nursing to build a career in Aesthetics; that provides them with the highest upside potential and the ability to focus on what they love most - patient care and clinical outcomes - while offering substantial business support for their practice (e.g. marketing, back office, human resources, inventory management, financing, compliance)- so THEY control their career.

Brandy Casey, MSN, AGACNP-BC

Founder, CEO & Board Certified Nurse Practitioner

Brandy is a Board-Certified Nurse Practitioner, who holds a Master of Science Degree in Nursing from California State University of Long Beach.

Brandy’s experience as a registered nurse began with a focus on caring for cancer patients. After being employed by Hoag Hospital and Kaiser Permanente, she became certiﬁed in chemotherapy and treating patients in the Cardiac and Neuro Intensive Care units.

Since 2009, Brandy simultaneously worked as an aesthetic nurse and is passionate about making people look and feel their best while embracing their natural beauty. In 2018, Brandy founded NuBella Med Spa with a core focus of providing a talent development platform to empower students, nurses, and nurse practitioners within a positive outcome and patient-centric environment.

As a woman entrepreneur she has built her business from the ground up and currently has four locations, operating in two states- with plans to open several additional locations. Brandy’s goal for NuBella is to create a team of nurses that share her same core values and to support them as entrepreneurs.

Kayla Weber, MSN, FNP-BC

COO & Board Certified Nurse Practitioner

Kayla is our Chief Operations Officer and a Senior Injector at NuBella Med Spa. She is a Board-Certified Nurse Practitioner and holds a Master of Science Degree in Nursing from California State University of Long Beach.

Before pursuing Medical Aesthetics, Kayla worked for many years as a Registered Nurse in Orthopedics at St. Joseph Hospital. She became a charge nurse on this unit and was also the Chair of the Pain Committee for this Magnet-awarded hospital.

Kayla's passion for overall facial balancing with injectables and skincare is what stands out most to us, spending her personal time educating the public about evidence-based skincare research and debunking skincare fads. In 2019, Kayla was the first Nurse Practitioner and Injector that Brandy brought into the practice after just a little more than six months in business.

Kayla has since taken on multiple roles in management and training at NuBella - helping the business grow immensely and sharing in the same entrepreneurial goals. She now travels to all of our locations seeing patients and training our injectors. Kayla believes in empowering her patients and her staff by providing them with the knowledge they need to care for the skin and reach natural aesthetic goals.

Dr. Joe Cerni

Medical Director

Dr. Joe Cerni is the leader in the latest developments in regenerative medicine and anti-aging technology. His warm, welcoming practice in Newport Beach is the gold standard for non-surgical face and body treatments. Dr. Cerni is at the forefront of the latest aesthetic research and he offers his patients a wide array of advanced treatments to restore, rejuvenate, and refresh face and body. Dr. Joe and Nurse B have partnered together to create a new and innovative practice, NuBella Med Spa.

Gloria Chang, MSN, FNP

Nurse Practitioner & Laser Technician (Irvine, CA)

Gloria is a dedicated and skilled Nurse Practitioner with several years of invaluable experience in the field of aesthetics. Holding a distinguished Bachelor's degree in Biology from UC Riverside and a Master’s Degree in Nursing from West Coast University, Gloria's academic foundation forms the bedrock of her expertise in the intricate world of skincare and rejuvenation.

With a deep-rooted passion for patient education, Gloria goes beyond the treatment room to empower her patients with knowledge about their skincare journey. Her commitment to fostering understanding and trust enhances the overall patient experience, ensuring they are informed and confident in their choices.

Beyond her professional pursuits, Gloria finds solace in practicing Pilates, a testament to her dedication to holistic well-being.

Alexis D., BSN, RN

Registered Nurse Injector (Rancho Cucamonga, CA)

Alexis is a Registered Nurse who specializes in aesthetics and cosmetic procedures. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing at West Coast University and has extensive experience in injectable and skincare treatments.

Before becoming a nurse, she was a surgical technologist who assisted doctors in a wide variety of specialties, including plastic and reconstructive surgeries. As an Aesthetic Injector it is her mission to deliver effortless and undetectable cosmetic treatments that enhance her patient’s natural beauty. She is passionate about helping her patients feel their best by slowing the signs of aging.

Alexis routinely advances her own skills by seeking out the top training opportunities and continues to share what she has learned to improve the field of aesthetic medicine as well as ensure her patients receive optimal results.

Kayleigh Moore, BSN, RN

Registered Nurse Injector (Scottsdale, AZ)

Kayleigh has been a Registered Nurse for over six years and has a vast experience in Aesthetic Medicine. She is also proud to be Board-Certified in both California and Arizona. Having trained under a plastic surgeon in Beverly Hills and an aesthetic nurse injector in Santa Monica, she can perform cosmetic injectable, laser skin resurfacing, and body contouring with precision and skill.

Kayleight holds a degree from Pepperdine University in International Marketing and a Minor in Psychology as well. Kayleigh decided to transition into a nursing career when she realized her passion for working closely with other people and helping them become their best self.

We are incredibly honored that Kayleigh has decided to continue her illustrious career with NuBella Med Spa in our Scottsdale location! She is a leader to her peers in Arizona and instrumental in the growth of this practice.

Jessica Padilla, BSN, RN

Laser Nurse (Rancho Cucamonga, CA)

Jessica is a dedicated Registered Nurse with a passion for patient care and advancement in medical technology.

Beginning her journey with us years ago as a medical assistant, Jessica honed her skills and knowledge, providing compassionate support to our patients at our Irvine location. Driven by her commitment to excellence, Jessica pursued further education and training, obtaining her nursing degree and RN license. Eager to expand her expertise, she embarked on a two-year tenure at a local hospital, where she gained invaluable experience in diverse medical scenarios, further solidifying her clinical proficiency.

Jessica has now returned to our team with enhanced skills and renewed determination to be an Aesthetic Provider. She serves as our laser nurse in our Rancho Cucamonga location, specializing in our Morpheus8 and Lumecca procedures.

With her comprehensive background and unwavering dedication to patient well-being, Jessica continues to make a significant impact, ensuring top-notch care and exceptional outcomes for all those under her charge.

Dani Lancaster

Licensed Esthetician (Rancho Cucamonga + Irvine)

Meet our esteemed esthetician, Dani, whose nine-year journey in the beauty industry has been marked by a profound dedication to skincare excellence. Dani''s passion for helping others achieve radiant skin stems from her personal struggle with cystic acne in her 30s, a journey that inspired her to pursue a career as an esthetician.

Armed with a wealth of experience and expertise, Dani holds certifications as an acne specialist and dermaplane provider, showcasing her commitment to mastering the latest techniques and treatments. As the former esthetician ambassador for her alma mater, she has demonstrated her leadership and dedication to her craft.

Dani's thirst for knowledge is insatiable, as she continually immerses herself in research, seeking out the most effective products and cutting-edge treatments to better serve her clients. Beyond delivering top-tier skincare solutions, Dani's approach is rooted in education and empathy. She strives to empower her clients with the understanding and tools they need to achieve and maintain healthy, glowing skin.

Sara Casey

Director of Business Development

Sara began her career in education, overseeing the learning and development of children, after achieving her Bachelor’s Degree in Liberal Studies from Cal Baptist University. She later worked for the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department as a Community Service Officer. She was instrumental in assisting in community projects and investigations to protect the public.

Sara’s background in education and community service made her the perfect asset to NuBella Med Spa for business development. She has a passion for the beauty industry and has always enjoyed working with a variety of different people.

Sara is responsible for managing client relationships and customer service, identifying marketing strategies as well as nonprofit engagement opportunities. Sara is integral to our mission of supporting and actively engaging with out community.

Shirin Garabedian

Human Resources & Office Manager (CA locations)

Shirin comes to us with an extensive background in the Banking Mortgage Industry as well as skincare. She began her professional journey with an Associates Degree of Liberal Arts from Fullerton College and also attained her Esthetician License.

Shirin’s tenure in the banking mortgage industry allowed her to develop a deep understanding of organizational efficiency, client relationship management, and the value of clear communication – all of which have seamlessly translated into her current role. Shirin realized her passion for skin health while pursuing her Esthetician license which brought her into the Medical Aesthetics world.

Shirin’s unique combination of expertise in finance and skin health has molded her into the perfect mentor to our staff as well as an incredible patient advocate.

Katelyn Baier

Office Manager (Scottsdale, AZ)

Katelyn is an accomplished Office Manager in the Medical Aesthetics industry, bringing a wealth of experience and a passion for skin health to our Scottsdale location.

With a solid foundation in medical assisting and a valuable externship at the prestigious University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, Katelyn has dedicated a decade to honing her skills in diverse healthcare settings, including family medicine, urgent care, and dermatology/cosmetics. Katelyn previously served as Assistant Manager at a premier salon and spa in Des Moines, Iowa, showcasing her leadership abilities and contributing significantly to the spa's success.

Prior to this role, she excelled in special event and bridal coordinating, demonstrating a keen eye for detail and organizational prowess. Driven by a genuine passion for skin health, Katelyn found her true calling in the field of dermatology and cosmetics. This realization prompted a move to Arizona, where she aimed to elevate her career as a Manager in a med spa setting.

Katelyn’s unique blend of medical assisting expertise and management skills positions her as an invaluable asset NuBella Med Spa as a dedicated and experienced professional.

Mackenzie Brown

Social Media & Marketing Manager

Mackenzie is a forward thinking Social Media and Marketing Manager with a keen eye for brand development and community engagement.

An early graduate of the University of Oregon, Mackenzie earned her Bachelor's Degree in Public Relations with a minor in Sports Business, showcasing her dedication and commitment to academic excellence. During her time at the university, she took on a leadership role as the Vice President of Recruitment and Marketing for Kappa Delta, where she honed her skills in strategic planning, communication, and team collaboration. This experience allowed her to blend her passion for marketing with a commitment to fostering meaningful connections within a community.

Embarking on her career in the digital realm, Mackenzie has demonstrated a profound understanding of the ever-evolving landscape of social media and marketing. With a strategic mindset and a creative flair for graphic design, she has successfully curated brand recognition and engaged audiences across various platforms.
