Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) Therapy is utilized to promote hair restoration and growth, while also preventing further hair loss.
Our hair restoration process begins with one of our practitioners drawing your blood and separating the PRP in a centrifuge. Numbing cream is applied to the scalp prior to injecting. PRP is then injected into the areas of hair loss. These injections are small and relatively painless.
Patients can expect signs of new hair growth within 8 weeks. A follow up appointment will be expected at that time to evaluate your progress.
Patients should refrain from washing the scalp until the next morning for best results. Patients also need to refrain from using anti-inflammatory medications, such as aspirin and ibuprofen, for 3 days. Anti-coagulation medication is not advised for one week prior to procedure and must be approved by a primary care provider. We advise to drink plenty of fluids the day of and before procedure.
